Inflow Performance Relationship
The inflow performance relationship of a well, or the IPR, is simply a measure of the relationship between the bottom-hole pressure and the producing rate. An IPR indicates the production rate which can be expected, or the potential production rate of the well. This rate or potential must be known to determine the economic feasibility of increasing production, (i.e., the cost-benefit relationship of any steps taken).
To determine an IPR, you require:
- Producing Bottom Hole Pressure
- Accurate Production Rates
- Static Reservoir Pressure
